Health Professional Shortage Designations: What Do They Mean and How to Qualify

Shortage designations identify an area, population, or facility experiencing a shortage of health care services, and are used by both federal and state programs to distribute resources and increase access to care. The Minnesota Office of Rural Health and Primary Care will provide an overview of these designations, including criteria you must meet to receive a shortage designation and how they are scored. The webinar will also dive into the role of the Office of Rural Health and Primary Care in determining shortage designations, and share how you can work with us to review your status.
