Turning the Tides of Nursing: Recruitment and Retention Strategies
The nursing industry is facing a steadily growing shortage of nurses that has only been exacerbated by the pandemic. However, healthcare leadership can turn the tides of the nursing industry. To do so, they must create a sustainable pipeline of nurses, invest in employee development, and cultivate an environment of support. This presentation will help clinical leaders better understand what steps can be taken to improve the recruitment and retention of nursing staff.

Amy Pope, MSN, RN, Manager of Clinical Excellence at Medical Solutions
Amy is the Manager of Clinical Excellence at Medical Solutions, one of the nation’s largest talent ecosystems. She has a passion for implementing evidence-based practices within the healthcare industry to improve overall efficiency and quality of care. Prior to her career at Medical Solutions, she served at the bedside and in leadership roles, has been in the healthcare industry for more than 15 years, an RN for 12 years, and has managed 54-72 FTE’s in previous roles. Amy earned her MSN at Walden University in 2015 in Nursing Education.
