Last year, The Joint Commission reviewed the hospital accreditation requirements that are above and beyond the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and reduced the requirements for hospitals, as well as related requirements across accreditation programs. The second phase of this project includes reviewing requirements that are above and beyond CoPs with a focus on other accreditation programs.

Mark Crafton, Executive Director of Strategic Alliances for The Joint Commission will provide an overview of accreditation program requirement reductions and revisions for hospitals that will be effective August 27, 2023.
